  • Modest Tuition Increase Coming to the Alabama Fire College

    by Staff | Jun 09, 2017
In consideration of fire department budgets, particularly those of volunteer departments, and the economic uncertainty the country has faced since the recession of 2008, the Alabama Fire College and Personnel Standards Commission has deliberately chosen not to increase tuition rates.  However, as time has passed the desire to maintain affordable tuition has been eclipsed by aging facilities and infrastructure, increasing personnel costs, and inflation. As these costs continue to rise it is incumbent that tuition be increased so that we can continue to provide the high quality training and certification that has come to be expected from the Alabama Fire College. This handy page can be folded to fit in a visor or emergency kit, and includes helpful phone numbers and strategies to help a person with dementia and their family. At the successful completion of training, participants can earn a downloadable, printable certificate to submit to their training officer.
