Tuition-Waived Weekend Classes for Volunteer FireFighters
The following classes are offered to Alabama VFFs on a weekend-based schedule, at the Alabama Fire College campus. Tuition is waived; student is responsible for books.
- Fire Inspector: January 9, 10, 23, & 24
- Fire Investigator: February 6, 7, 20, & 21
- Technical Rescue Personnel: Rope Rescue Awareness & Operations: March 6, 7, 20, & 21
- Technical Rescue Personnel: Wilderness Search and Rescue Awareness, Operations, & Technician: April 3, 4, 17, & 18
- Fire Apparatus Operator: Mobile Water Supply: May 1-2
- Technical Rescue Personnel: Trench Rescue Awareness, Operations, & Technician: June 12, 13, 26, & 27
- Fire Apparatus Operator: Aerial: July 10, 11, 24, & 25
- Fire & Emergency Services Instructor III: August 7, 8, 21, & 22

These classes are open for all registrants, and will be held at the Alabama Fire College campus.

- Politics and the White Helmet: February 20-21
- Strategy and Tactics for Initial Company Operations: March 15-16
- Preparation for Initial Company Operations: May 24-25
- Introduction to Unified Command for All-Hazard Incidents: June 12-13
