Fire Inspector

This course is based on NFPA 1030: Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Prevention Program Positions, Chapter 7 Fire Inspector. This course provides the participant with an in-depth view of the skills and duties required of the Fire Inspector. The course trains individuals in the interpretation of applicable codes and standards, covers the procedure involved in various types of inspections, and prepares the inspector for the plans review process. It is an advanced-level course that covers a wide range of topics some of which are: Inspection Procedure, Building Construction, Occupancy Classification and Means of Egress, Fire Protection, Water Supply Systems, Plans Review, and the Storage of Hazardous Materials. This is a very demanding course with pre-course work, in-person instruction, assignments, and post-course assignment completion.
