SAR Recon Strike Team

This training provides volunteer firefighters/EMS with practical skills for conducting organized and systematic search and rescue (SAR) operations during natural disasters. Participants will learn to effectively organize teams, use clear search patterns, and communicate efficiently. The course covers marking and documenting search areas and emphasizes safety and situational awareness.A GIS component will teach students to use Quick Capture for real-time data collection, enhancing coordination and operational efficiency. This course will ensure interoperability across the state by aligning with national SOPs enabling collaboration with other agencies.
