AMAS Wide Area Search Awareness

WAS Awareness involves revisiting and reinforcing the key concepts and skills learned in the TEEX course, ensuring that responders are well-prepared for these critical search and rescue missions. The Wide Area Search Course is a training program designed to instruct emergency responders and search-and-rescue teams on the techniques and procedures for conducting large-scale search operations in wide or expansive areas. (Such as hurricane, tornado, floods) This course covers topics such as search planning, organization, logistics, safety protocols, and the use of specialized equipment and resources. It aims to prepare participants to effectively locate and rescue missing persons during disasters, emergencies, or large-scale incidents. This awareness course does not replace the TEEX WAS Course.
