Immediately following retirement\, Captain Edwards spent more than a year in the Atlanta Training Division and designed the department’s Officer Development curriculum. Todd also assists several departments in the metro Atlanta area with course curriculum and training. Captain Edwards has also worked as an adjunct instructor for the Georgia Fire Academy\, works for County Fire Tactics as an instructor\, and oversees the logistics for all conferences. Captain Edwards is the owner and lead instructor of Fire Life Training and speaks at conferences and departments throughout the country. Captain Edwards has written numerous training programs utilized by several departments\, specializing in department-based curriculums for training\, officer development\, and fire ground operations. Captain Edwards has been recognized several times\, including the Award of Merit for Bravery and the Fire Chief’s Award of Distinction.

For safety\, the number of students in certain classes is limited.\nYour required $25 registration fee includes 4 meals\, an event t-shirt*\, and training in these areas: live fire attack (con-ex box training area and in the Mobile Fire Trainer)\, rope rescue\, confined space\, search & rescue (burn building)\, Rapid Intervention Crews (drill tower)\, hose/fire streams\, forced entry\, and vehicle extrication. *T-shirts will be free for Advisors and Explorers. Please include your t-shirt size on the form\, as well as your estimated arrival time.\nDress code: no shorts\, tank tops\, or open-toed shoes allowed. Facial hair must not obstruct the use of SCBA.\nEach post will need to bring full turnout gear and is encouraged to bring their own SCBA.\nPlease note: No Inflatable mattresses; cots will be provided. Lodging will be assigned on a first-registered/first-served basis.\nCourse Withdrawal & Refund Policy: Students who register for courses and fail to attend will be charged the full registration fee. The workshop will progress from the basic set-ups\, such as the easel “A” frame\, to various bi-pod configurations and ultimately the monopod or “gin pole” setups.\nSKILLS TAUGHT: Vortex hardware\, assembly\, configurations\, modes of use\, applied force theory\, foot hobbling techniques\, & Guy angles\nCLASS INCLUDES: CMC School Certificate of Completion\, CMC Arizona Vortex Kit User Manual\, & CMC Patch\nENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS: NOTE: Your spot is not guaranteed until you are contacted by the CMC School confirming your enrollment. The CMC School administrator will contact you 45 days before the start date to confirm the class will be held as scheduled. We strongly suggest that you do not make any travel arrangements before that time\, as classes are subject to  cancellation.\nCLASS FEES: \n\nEARLY $975 when registered and paid 45 days in advance.\nREGULAR $1\,025 when registered less than 45 days in advance\n\n\nCLASS SIZE: Limited to 14 students. We emphasize hands-on instruction and encourage participation by everyone in the class. Classes fill early\, so register soon.
