RT: Dive I


This course is based on NFPA 1006:, Standard for Technical Rescue Personnel Professional Qualifications, and may lead to Pro Board and IFSAC certifications. This course is designed for those persons who respond to incidents involving the search, rescue, or recovery of a victim that has submerged beneath the surface of a body of water.

Special Equipment - SCUBA Equipment – All SCUBA equipment must be in good working condition and all pertinent laws and manufacturers recommended procedures must have been followed, i.e. annual service, cleaning, testing, inspection and maintenance.
Buoyancy Compensator with power inflator
First stage regulator with second stage regulator and alternate second stage (octo)
Dive mask (if using a full face mask must show documentation of training)
Diver exposure protection (if using a drysuit must show documentation of training)
SCUBA tank with extra tank (with current hydro and VIP)
Weight system with weights
Underwater compass
Underwater timing device
Submersible pressure gauge
Depth gauge
2 cutting tools (to be worn on the chest or waist)

Physical Requirements - This is a very physically demanding course which requires student to be in good physical condition.
