Gordon Graham

Gordon Graham is a 33 year veteran of California Law Enforcement. Mr. Graham holds his Teaching Credential (California State University, Long Beach), a Master's Degree in Safety and Systems Management (University of Southern California), and a Juris Doctorate (Western State University). His education as a Risk Manager and experience as a practicing Attorney, coupled with his extensive background in public safety, have allowed him to become recognized as a leading speaker with multiple areas of expertise. He co-founded Lexipol, a company designed to standardize policies, procedures, and training within fire departments. He is also the co-founder/co-owner of www.firefighterclosecalls.com, and helped the IAFC develop (www.firefighternearmiss.com). Mr. Graham has spoken to 500,000+ LEO, fire, dispatch, and EMS professionals. He is the recipient of the Governor’s Award for excellence in law enforcement training (1995), recognition from the IAFC for his lifelong work in improving firefighter safety and performance (2005), the lifetime achievement award from California POST (2008), and the lifetime dedication award from the International Public Safety Leadership and Ethics Institute (2015).

Shane Ray

Shane Ray has been a volunteer firefighter since 1984 and a career firefighter since 1994. He has also served as a mayor for six years and the Tennessee Fire Chief’s Legislative Chairman for 12 years. Ray’s love for politics started as fire chief of the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department in TN, where he served 13 years. He then served under Governor Nikki Haley in South Carolina as superintendent and state fire marshal. He currently serves as the president of the National Fire Sprinkler Association and is a lifetime member of the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department. Throughout his career, he has been committed to public service with a “Do It Different” mentality and that all stakeholders are important.

Steve Kerber

Steve Kerber is the Director of the UL Firefighter Safety Research Institute. He has led research with the fire service in the areas of ventilation, structural collapse, and fire dynamics. Steve is a 13-year veteran of the fire service with most of his service at the College Park Fire Department in Prince George's County Maryland, where he served at ranks up through Deputy Chief. He received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland and is currently working on his doctorate at Lund University in Sweden. Steve has also been appointed to the rank of Honorary Battalion Chief by the FDNY and was named the 2014 ISFSI and Fire Engineering George D. Post Instructor of the Year.

Jim Crawford

Jim Crawford has served as the project manager for Vision 20/20 since 2007. He is a member of and former chair of the NFPA technical committee on professional qualifications for fire marshals. He is the author of Fire Prevention Organization and Management published by Brady and writes a regular column on community risk reduction for Fire and Rescue Magazine. Jim retired from the active fire service after 35 years, ending his career as the Deputy Chief and Fire Marshal of Vancouver, WA. He is a fellow of the Institution of Fire Engineers, past President of the International Fire Marshal’s Association, and a life member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs.
