Volunteer Fire Fighter: Module III

This course is based on NFPA 1001: Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications. The Certified Volunteer Fire Fighter Module courses prepare the student for the Volunteer Fire Fighter State Certification Examination. The course is highly structured to provide academic information through a series of lectures and demonstrations augmented with visual aids. Practical skills are developed with a specified degree of proficiency through selected manipulative evolutions. Specific subject topics covered in Volunteer Fire Fighter Module III include: Tactical Ventilation, Fire Hose, Hose Operations and Hose Streams, Fire Suppression, Overhaul, Property Conservation, and Scene Preservation. This course is recommended for all Volunteer Fire Fighters.
Prerequisites:
18 years of age; Physical Statement – AFC & PSEC Form 05 – Per the Alabama Administrative Code (Chapter 360-X-1), This form must be completed and submitted prior to beginning any certification training leading to certification as a Fire Fighter or Volunteer Fire Fighter.; Successful completion of Certified Volunteer Fire Fighter: Module II; Prior to Certification as a Volunteer Fire Fighter: (Pro Board or IFSAC) Certified Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations
