Commercial Explosive Monitoring

Both Fire Departments and Law Enforcement Agencies are called upon to monitor commercial blasting occurring in their jurisdictions and to investigate commercial blasting accidents and complaints. This course is designed to provide a good basic knowledge of commercial blasting operations. The student will be shown how commercial blasters design shots, the equipment and explosive they use, explosive storage requirements, and equipment used to monitor blasting operations. This course also covers investigating blasting complaints.
