Alabama First Responder Peer Support Awareness

First responders are impacted by the stresses of their careers and the demands of everyday life. Some are affected more profoundly than others, but all first responders, when made aware, can help each other through these pressures. First responders prefer confiding in someone that understands the nature of the job, it’s culture and the tragedies that are experienced. This 2-hour awareness program explains the important role that peer support programs can play in keeping our first responders, their families, and the agencies they represent healthy. This awareness program is meant to be for all first responders. For those wanting to invest more, consider attending The Alabama Fire College 16-hour Peer Support course.
