The Alabama Fire College has received special funding which will allow us to offer this National Fire Academy course. The course is a six-day course designed to present the following objectives:
Increases an emergency response department's ability to integrate local, state and federal level resources to address an incident that
is in violation of the criminal laws of the United States to intimidate or coerce a government or the civilian population in furtherance of political or social objectives;
consumes a significant portion, if not the majority, of the readily available law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services resources;
entails multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional response to confront the problem;
places a fire department commander in a position of managing both fire department and non-fire department activities, in concert with other agency executive officers, over an extended period of time.
Increases an officer’s ability to anticipate potential terrorist incident targets
