RT: Structural Collapse I/II
This course is based on NFPA 1006: Standard for Technical Rescue Personnel Professional Qualifications, and may lead to IFSAC and Pro Board certifications. This program is designed for those persons who respond to incidents involving the application of special knowledge, skills, and equipment to safely resolve unique or complex rescue situations. This program is an intense course which addresses light frame construction collapse and emphasizes the following discipline areas: shoring, breaching and breaking, lifting and moving, and cutting and burning.

Special Equipment - Field Operations Guide: Urban Search and Rescue Structures Specialist; hardhat with chin strap; steel-toed shoes; leather work gloves; clothing suitable for outside activities (long-sleeved shirt and pants; coveralls); rain gear (coat and trousers); knee pads; foam ear plugs; and OSHA approved safety glasses
Physical Requirements - This course is a very physically demanding one which requires student to be in good physical condition.
