This course is based on NFPA 1006:, Standard for Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications, This course is designed for those persons who respond to incidents involving the search, rescue or recovery of a victim that has submerged beneath the surface of a body of water. Campus Delivery Only. (Classes that are delivered either at the Alabama Fire College or an RTC or other area as approved by the Regional Coordinator and Training Staff at AFC.)

Special Equipment - SCUBA Equipment – All SCUBA equipment must be in good working condition and all pertinent
laws and manufacturers recommended procedures must have been followed, i.e. annual service,
cleaning, testing, inspection and maintenance.
Buoyancy Compensator with power inflator
Physical Requirements - This is a very physically demanding course which requires student to be in good physical condition.
First stage regulator with second stage regulator and alternate second stage (octo)
Dive mask (if using a full face mask must show documentation of training)
Diver exposure protection (if using a drysuit must show documentation of training)
SCUBA tank with extra tank (with current hydro and VIP)
Weight system with weights
Underwater timing device
Submersible pressure gauge
2 cutting tools (to be worn on the chest or waist)
Med training & Certified RT: Rope I
Certified RT: Surface Water I/II
Accredited Open Water Dive Certification
Physical Requirement: ADRS Watermanship test (given 1st day)
