FREE online Alzheimer’s Training

by Mary Beth Finn | Jun 01, 2017

The Alzheimer’s disease epidemic continues to grow. As a first responder, it’s critical to understanding how to best approach situations involving someone with Alzheimer’s disease.

Make your first response the right response!

Click the link below to participate in the free, online training. The training also includes a downloadable tip sheet, Quick Tips for First Responders. This handy page can be folded to fit in a visor or emergency kit, and includes helpful phone numbers and strategies to help a person with dementia and their family. At the successful completion of training, participants can earn a downloadable, printable certificate to submit to their training officer.

To further its commitment to assisting law enforcement, first responders, and community members, MedicAlert has created the LEAP program. This program provides free MedicAlert jewelry and services to your community members who are at-risk for wandering, and provides wandering emergency training for your responders.
