Introduction to the Fire
Service
The many traditions of the fire service, their importance, and their origins
are discussed as part of this entry level course. It is designed to acquaint
the student with the philosophy and history of the fire service and fire
protection; the exacting loss of life and property; and the organization and
function of public and private fire protection agencies.
