Fire Instructor II

certification course
accredited by the Pro Board.
Meets the requirements of level II of NFPA 1041, Standard for Fire
Instructor Professional Qualifications, 2002 edition.

Provides the
Fire Instructor I with the next level of understanding for the training of
personnel. This course is designed to train the participants to perform job
and task analysis, develop goals and objectives, and develop a lesson plan
along with the coordinating training aids, and student test and evaluation.
During the course the students are divided into groups, each of which is
responsible for the development of a lesson plan to be presented to the
class on the final day.

Prerequisite: Certified Fire Instructor I
Reference Texts Required: IFSTA’s Fire and Emergency Services Instructor,

edition, Fire Instructor II Student Workbook (07/03) and
NFPA 101, Life Safety Code.
NOTE:
Due to the rigors of the certification exam, students are strongly
encouraged to purchase and begin reading the assigned text(s) before classes
commence.
