Building Construction for the Fire Service
This course is designed to acquaint the fire
fighter with the problems and hazards for fire suppression personnel when a
structure is under stress from fire or other factors contributing to the
collapse of a structure. Topics include: Scope of Fire Problems, Principles
of wood and Ordinary Construction, Fire Resistive Construction, Flame
Spread, and High Rise Construction.
