TACTICAL OPERATIONS: COMMAND DECISION MAKING
Managing Company Tactical Operations: Command Decision Making (MCTO:D)
provides an effective approach to command decision making and
organization. The focus of these five modules is a review of the command
sequence and on overview of incident command for structural
firefighting. Key content includes: The Command Sequence, Size Up,
Developing and Action Plan, Implementing the Action Plan, and Introduction
to the Incident Command System. The curriculum consists of three separate,
but interdependent courses: MCTO: Preparation, MCTO: Decision Making, and
MCTO: Tactics. The three courses provide a systematic approach to fire
incident management; as such, they are designed to be taken in sequence.
Necessary forms used by departments in order to request and schedule
courses for their areas. These forms are not for the field student.
