Managing and Leading a Diverse Workforce (NFA)
This
National Fire Academy course will
recognize how the structures, traditions, and fire department history
influences the senior fire executive's perspective and behavior in the
workplace. Tools will be presented to enable the senior fire executive to
capitalize on the diversity in his workforce. A conflict resolution process
to minimize the negative effects of diverse perspectives and actions will
also be offered the participant will be required to develop an
organizational action plan for diversity that is applicable to the needs of
his department.
Necessary forms used by departments in order to request and schedule
courses for their areas. These forms are not for the field student.
