Leadership III: Strategies for Supervisory Success (NFA)
This course
provides the fire manager with the basic leadership skills and tools to
perform effectively in the fire service. This third and final module of the
National Fire Academy's Leadership course was designed to meet the needs of
the company officer in the areas of : Situational leadership: basic leader
behavior and leadership style, learning how to provide direction and
support; Delegation: defines and illustrates the benefits and barriers of
effective delegation; Coaching: identifying the characteristics and
techniques of effective coaching and then matching the techniques with the
subordinate.
Necessary forms used by departments in order to request and schedule
courses for their areas. These forms are not for the field student.
