Insurance Grading Process: Basic Concepts
This course is an introduction to the study of insurance theory, practice
and economics of the Insurance Grading Process. It is intended to provide
the student with a better understanding of the Insurance Grading Process,
how rates are established and how insurance rates can be lowered. This is a
basic concepts course. The grading formulas themselves will not be taught.
Specific course topics include: The Grading Process,
Improving Your Rating, Fire Departments, Water Supplies, Individual Risks.
This course is specifically designed to provide rural
communities and smaller municipalities with the initial information
necessary to formulate a plan to improve their fire defense insurance
rating. This course is taught in a classroom environment and recommended for
all fire protection administrations and fire suppression personnel.
Necessary forms used by departments in order to request and schedule
courses for their areas. These forms are not for the field student.
