Firemanship I
The Firemanship
I course is designed to provide the student with basic information on fire
service organization, the fireground environment, fire fighter safety, the
science of fire and fire behavior utilizing classroom lectures and
discussions.
Specific
course topics surveyed and illustrated through demonstration and practical
exercises include: Orientation and Safety; Apparatus Familiarization; Fire
Behavior; Personal Protective Equipment; Rescue; Forcible Entry
This
course is recommended for all fire service personnel with little or no
experience and those who wish to review and practice their basic skills. Note:
This course utilizes the equipment resources provided by the host
department/agency.
