Emergency Response To Terrorism: Incident Management (NFA)
The Alabama Fire
College has received special funding which will allow us to offer this National Fire
Academy course. The course is a six-day
course designed to present the following objectives:
Increases an emergency response department's ability to integrate local,
state and federal level resources to address an incident that:
- is in violation of
the criminal laws of the United States to intimidate or coerce a
government or the civilian population in furtherance of political or
social objectives;
- consumes a
significant portion, if not the majority, of the readily available law
enforcement, fire and emergency medical services resources;
- entails multi-agency,
multi-jurisdictional response to confront the problem;
- places a fire
department commander in a position of managing both fire department and
non-fire department activities, in concert with other agency executive
officers, over an extended period of time.
Increases an officer’s ability to anticipate potential terrorist incident
targets.
