What do I need to
teach NIMS in the Fire Department?
The
IS 800 courses
The IS 800 course is available online or in
a format to be taught in the classroom. The National Response Plan is the document used to teach
this class. The National Response Plan can be downloaded and copies made from the NIMS Integration
Center. Copies of the IS 800 exam and the answers to the questions were placed in the materials
distributed at the AFC NIMS Train-the-Trainer course.
The students’ answers to the IS 800 test should be placed on the “NFA
bubble form.” These can be obtained
by calling the Field Division or ordering online. The “NFA Bubble Form” serves as the NFA registration form.
The NFA 75-5-A short form is NOT required for this course.
