What do I need to
teach NIMS in the Fire Department?
The
IS 700 courses
The CD labeled “NIMS,” distributed
in the AFC NIMS Train-the-Trainer classes, contains a folder labeled “IS 700.” In this folder is
the Powerpoint and materials needed to teach the class. It is recommended that the course be
covered in three hours.
The 3-ring binder contains the IS 700 document,
the test, and the answers needed to review and test the students. The students’ answers to the
IS 700 test should be placed on the “NFA Bubble Form.” These can be obtained by calling the
Field Division or ordering online. The “NFA Bubble Form” serves as the NFA registration form.
The NFA 75-5-A short form is NOT required for this course.

(call Linda at 205-391-3764) Each student will place his/her answers to
the IS 700 test on his/her “bubble form.” Mail these forms along with the final class roster and AFC
registration sheet to AFC Field Training.
You do not have to send the originals if you fax in your request.
