A
Special Salute to Fort Rucker for their Continued Efforts in
Providing Certification Training for Military Personnel
Fort Rucker is known as the
Home of Army Aviation and boasts a
64,500 acre post located in a southeast
Alabama countryside area known as
the Wiregrass, named for a wild grass peculiar to the region.
At their request, Fort
Rucker Fire and Emergency Services became formally affiliated with the
Alabama Fire College and Personnel Standards Commission for certification
training for federal firefighters. This affiliation with the Commission
became effective February 1, 2000. Since that time, the Fort Rucker Fire and
Emergency Services training division has successfully completed 76
certification courses involving 1,363 certification candidates and
accounting for almost 60,000 student hours. Way to go Fort Rucker!
The Command and Management
staff of the Fort Rucker Fire and Emergency Services has maneuvered into
position as a diverse and dynamic certification oriented training agency.
Their personnel have placed an ever increasing value on teaching and
learning for both military and civilian personnel.
Fort Rucker continues to
strive to provide certification training opportunities through excellence in
instruction and effective use of facilities and technology.
The Alabama Fire College
Field Programs Division takes pride in issuing a well deserved salute to the
United States Army Aviation Center and Fort Rucker. We especially want to
thank the Director of Public Safety, Lt. Col. Darrel W. Andrews, Fort Rucker
Fire and Emergency Services Fire Chief Kenneth Klein and their training
division.
