CCAC Being Replaced by
Technical Review Committees
Formed in 2003, the Course
Content Advisory Committees have been a vital link
between the fire service in Alabama and curriculum
development at the Alabama Fire College. To broaden
their goals and expand their mission, the CCACs will be
replaced with Technical Review Committees.
Through the Technical
Review Committees, the Alabama Fire College will benefit
from the insight and experience of fire fighters around
the state as we continuously evaluate and update
training courses and materials. Review Committees will
evaluate certification courses and make suggestions
about course content and delivery. They will perform an
important function for AFC by helping us insure that our
courses are comprehensive and effective.
Applications are now being
accepted for positions on the Technical Review
Committees at the Alabama Fire College. To volunteer,
please complete the application located at
www.alabamafirecollege.net/trc. The deadline to
apply is March 14, 2008.
The first organizational
meeting is planned for March 26, 2008.
