Rescue Technician: Structural Collapse

This course is conducted in 8 days and is designed to comply with NFPA 1006, Standard for Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications. This program is an 80-hour intense course which addresses heavy construction collapse and emphasizes the following discipline areas: breaching and breaking, lifting and moving, interior shoring, exterior shoring and cutting and burning.

Special Equipment - • Hardhat with chin strap • Steel toed shoes • Leather work gloves • Clothing suitable for outside activities (long-sleeved shirt and pants; coveralls) • Rain gear (coat and trousers) • Knee pads • Foam ear plugs • OSHA approved safety glasses

Physical Requirements - This is a very physically demanding course which requires student to be in good physical condition.
