Chairman
Alberto “Butch” Zaragoza
was appointed to the Alabama
Fire College and Personnel Standards Commission in 1999 by the Governor. He
joined Vestavia Fire Department in 1969, and has risen through the ranks to
his current position of Fire Chief.

Vice Chairman
Dr. David
Boyd was appointed to the Alabama Fire College and Personnel Standards
Commission by the Governor in 2004. Captain Boyd joined the Anniston Fire
Department in 1982. Captain Boyd also teaches for the U.S. Department of
Homeland Security's Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston. He has a
PhD from Covington Theological Seminary.

Commissioner Bill Bulman
was
appointed to the Alabama Fire College and Personnel Standards Commission in
May 2006, by the Alabama Fire Fighters Association. Chief Bulman has been in
the fire service with the Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department for
37 years
and currently serves as the fire chief. Commissioner Bulman has also
been a member of the Alabama Firefighters Association and Board for 35
years, and has served on the Alabama Joint Fire Council for 20 years. He is
the current director of the State National Volunteer Fire Council.

Commissioner Ralph Cobb was appointed to the Alabama Fire College and
Personnel Standards Commission by the Governor in 2006. Presently serving as
Chief of Madison Fire & Rescue, Chief Cobb began his service as a volunteer
firefighter in 1981. Chief Cobb holds a Master of Education degree from
Auburn University and is a graduate of the National Fire Academy's Executive
Fire Officer Program. Current Term Expires: 7/13/2010.

Commissioner
Dwight Graves was appointed to
Alabama Fire College and
Personnel Standards Commission by the Governor in 2005. He has served in the
Fire Service since 1987 and is currently with the City of Homewood Fire
Department as a firefighter paramedic. He is a state law enforcement officer
with Bevill State Community College. He has a BS degree in Homeland
Security/Public Safety and is Board certified in Homeland Security.

Commissioner Edward Paulk
is currently
serving on the Alabama Fire College and Personnel Standards Commission as
the State Fire Marshal.
Mr. Paulk has been in the fire
marshal's office for 22 years and was appointed in April, 2003 to the serve
on the commission. State Fire
Marshal appointed by State Legislation.

Commissioner Roger Dale Wyatt, a
representative from the Professional Firefighters Association, began his
tenure January 2007.
Commissioner Wyatt has worked for the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service
since 1991. He is the vice president of the Birmingham Firefighters
Association Local 117 and president of Professional Firefighters of Alabama.
As a member of the Alabama Joint Fire Council, he shares his expertise with
other firefighters.
Roger holds a BS degree in
Public Safety Administration from Athens State University and an Associate’s
degree in Applied Science-Fire Science from Jefferson State Community
College. He received his Paramedic certification from The University of
Alabama Birmingham. Current Term Expires: 7/1/2008
